Restorative Practice
'Restorative Practice... encompasses various methods and strategies aimed at fostering positive relationships and building community, often in a proactive manner. While it includes responses to conflict or harm - drawing from restorative justice methods - it also involves everyday relational work... These practices aim to strengthen social connections and minimise the likelihood of harm occurring in the first place.'
RJC 2025 Restorative Practice Guidance
I am an accredited Restorative Practitioner and was one of the first to become accredited with the Restorative Justice Council when they launched their register.
Having worked in schools, children's homes and prisons and with indivdual families using restorative practice, I have seen enormous benefits of dealing with conflict this way.
